Charles James Dawson (??-1916)

The parish magazine of May 1916 has a paragraph

"We regret to have to report the death in France, on April 18th, from a stray bullet, of Private Charles James Dawson, Machine Gun Section, Rifle Brigade. "

His death is reflected on the village memorial but both myself and two other researchers have been unable to trace him in the usual sources.

The vicar records a couple of other Dawsons associated with the village as serving in the war Albert Edward Dawson ( a driver (2412), R.A.M.C. (Transport T.F.) and William Dawson (no details given other than serving abroad in 1917).

Any contributions to clear up this mystery would be very welcome.
