WATERINGBURY.

Ladies’ Dance.

—A most successful second “ladies dance’’ took place at the Institute on Friday evening. Dancing commenced shortly after nine o’clock to the strains of the band of the Royal Engineers, and was kept up with great spirit until an early hour on Saturday.

Among those present were:—Mr. R. Fremlin, the Misses Fremlin, Mr. and Mrs. Henry White, Mr. and Mrs. A. Leney, Mr. and Mrs. Jude,

Mrs. Fry, Mr. Gordon Davies and Misses Davies, Mr. and Miss Phillips, Mr. and Miss Warde, &c., &c. The lady patronesses may be congratulated on a complete success.

The Institute referred to was most likely The Working Men's Club and Institute which had opened a few years earlier in 1887.
