WATERINGBURY.

THE CRIMNAL LAW AMENDMENT ACT. -At a special sitting of the Malling Magistrates on Monday, Thomas Allchin, a married man, in the employ of Messrs. Jude, brewers, Wateringbury, was charged under the 5th section of the Criminal Law amendment Act, with assaulting Mary Elizabeth Gibbs, female over 13 and under the age of 16. The mother of the girl stated that the latter would be 15 years old on the 26th of October next. The Chairman remanded the prisoner, but admitted him to bail upon his entering into his own recognizances in the sum of £10, and finding a surety in a like sum.
