Thomas Brocklebank dies (1919)

The Times of 26th June 1919 records death of Thomas Brocklebank of Wateringbury Place and Villa San Leonardo1, Florence, chairman of North and South Wales Banking Company, High Sheriff of Cheshire 1901, second son of the late Ralph Brocklebank of Chadwell Hall , Liverpool, leaving a fortune of £327,798, net personality of £309,798.

Extract from Kent & Sussex Courier of 27 June 1919

The Will the late Mr. Thomas Brocklebank, of Wateringbury Place,

near Maidstone, has been proved £327,595 15s 11d., with net personalty

£309,798 0s. 4d. The Will is dated 10th November, wherein Testator

left: £1,OOO and during widowhood the use and enjoyment ot

Wateringbury Place and £4,500 a year to his wife; £5OO each to his

daughter-in-law and grandchildren; £lOO each to his nephews

and nieces and godchildren; £100 to the Rev. Septimus Fimman;

legacies to servants. The residue his property is left to

his five sons.

It is early 20th century; has 10 rooms but needs some cosmetic renovation.
