NOTES AND NOTICES.

The Annual Meeting of the Church of England Zenana Missionary Society (C.E.Z.M.S.) will be held in the Church Rooms on Wednesday, Nov. 24th, at 3 p.m.

On June 1st, 1915, there was baptised in Wateringbury Church Godfrey William Style, son of Colonel Rodney Charles Style, of Wierton Grange, Kent, a descendant of the Oliver Style who became possessed of the Manor of Wateringbury in the reign of James I. The Style family occupied Wateringbury Place for about 200 years, and many of the family monuments remain in the church and churchyard. As the Sacraments of the Church are always administered without fee, Colonel Style, on the occasion of his son's christening, placed a cheque in the Vicar's hands, asking him to devote it to some improvement in the church. The result is the new font-cover, of unpretentious but suitable character, beautifully made from the Vicar's design by Cecil French. The original cover, marks of which remain on the top of the font, disappeared long ago.
