School Concert (1880)

Extract from Kent Times - Saturday 28 February 1880

WATERINGBURY.

CONCERT AT THE NATIONAL SCHOOL.-on Tuesday evening last a concert was given in the National School. The first part consisted of Ward's cantata, "The Nativity," and the second of a miscellaneaus selection of vocal and instrumental music. The result must, we are sure, have been gratifying to both conductor and choir. The proceeds will be devoted to establishing a fund to provide medical comforts, wine, &c.. for the sick poor of the parish who are not entitled to parish relief. J. W. Fry, Esq., has kindly consented to act as treasurer.
