Wateringbury cases from the Kent assizes held at Maidstone as reported by the Kentish Gazette , 27th March 1838:
Frederick Nelson, for stealing a stove, the property Robt. Burr, at Wateringbury. —One month in the House of Correction, hard labour.
James Chapman, for stealing five hop-poles, the property of James Ellis, at Wateringbury.—Fourteen days house of correction, hard labour.
