WATERINGBURY. At the Tunbridge Wells County Court on Thursday before J. J. Lonsdale, Esq., judge, the case of Redford v. Blunt was heard. It was a claim for £lO 3s. 4d. of an account owing by defendant, a publican, of Wateringbury, represented by Mr. F. Stone, to Mr Bedford, the plaintiff, a miller, of Lamberhurst, who was represented by Mr. J. Burton —Mr. Burton said the accounts extended over a period of years from 1868 and included about 1,000 items.—Mr. Stone said he should like the matter adjourned in order that he should be able to plead the statute of limitations. It was a question of bad book-keeping, he held reciepts in his hand for the whole amount due, less 10s 4d. which he had paid into court. —The case was referred to Mr. Registrar Cripps, sanction being given to Mr. Stone to plead the statute.
