ENGINEERS v. MID-KENT.

On the 6th Inst, the former club sent team down to Wateringbury to contend against the Mid-Kent team. The game resulted in draw, neither side being able to obtain goal, but the Engineers had decidedly the best of the play throughout, and would more than once have scored a goal, but for the excellent goal-keeping of Bounce. The following formed the respective sides:-

Royal Engineers.—Lieutenant Merriman (captain). Captain Lambert, Lieutenants Fellows, Kensington, Morris, Denison, Johnston, Darby, Preston, Brown, Hewson, and Hassard.

Mid-Kent.—Messrs. A. (captain) and P. Richardson, A.,B., C., and D. White, J. Bounce, T. Lawrence, E. Warde, and H. and C. Leney.
