Extract from Maidstone Telegraph 30th April 1870

WATERINGBURY. Death by Drowning.

—On Monday evening last, young man, about 20 years of age, named Frederick Adams, son of a jobbing gardener, residing at Wateringbury, while fishing near Teston Oil Mill, accidentally fell into the river and was drowned. The Coroner was communicated with, but inquest was considered unnecessary.
