Wateringbury Dec 14th 1888

Scudamore, Esq.,

Dear Sir,

It is felt by the Electors of Wateringbury that the Polling should take place in this village , instead of Mereworth. There being two-thirds more voters in the former village, altho’ the latter is used as a Parliamentary division. It effects the County Council through the Parishes being differently divided.

Your prompt attention will greatly oblige.

Your Obedient Servants,

[Signed by about 100 signatories starting with Herbert Leney and R.H. Fremlin].
