Extract from South Eastern Gazette of August 1872

Mr. Frederick Homewood, of Pizen Well, Wateringbury, writes, under date August 11th, as follows :—“ In your report of the Malling Petty Sessions, I find no mention of Henderson v. Homewood. The plaintiff, John Henderson, master plumber, of Wateringbury, charged me with stealing three shillings, but after a patient investigation the magistrates dismissed the summons, and in justice to myself, and the public (as my character is at stake), by your inserting this in your valuable columns you would much oblige, &c.”
