The Post Office (on Bow Road, not in its current location) along with other shops adjoining the King's Head (Lot 60) were Lot 61 in the particulars issued by Debenham, Tewson and Farmer in connection with the 1876 sale of Wateringbury Place (Kent Archives Office reference CKS-P385/28/3):
