Cooper at Brewery exempt (1918)

Extract from South Eastern Gazette of 15th January 1918 reporting on Malling Tribunal.

A.E. Johnson , 41, married, C3, cooper in the employ of Messrs. Jude Hanbury and co , brewers, Wateringbury was also an application for a further exemption. A representative of the firm explained that Johnson was the only cooper they had. Having regard to the man's category, the Tribunal decided to grant 3 months.
