Frederick Barcham Leney, He died at the Railway Hotel, Galway, Ireland in 1921 but his birth in 1876 is variously given as Wateringbury or Maidstone.

Kent 1905, 1 match against Oxford University. RH bat. RA Medium Bowler. 39 Runs. HS 30 Av 19.50. Bowling 1-23. Played for Wateringbury CC and was captain. Also the Mote. He went into the family business after leaving school. At the outbreak of WW1 he joined the British Red Cross and served in France and Egypt until 1916 when he was discharged to run the Phoenix Brewery, his father having died in a hunting accident the previous year.

TAB note: Frederick was born in Maidstone and in the 1881 census, aged 4, is recorded as living with his parents on the London Road in Maidstone. Frederick in the 1901 census was living with his parents (Augustus and Kate) at the Orpines, Wateringbury and is described as a "Brewer "(of Frederick Leney and SonsLtd- named after hs grandfather, Frederick). In the 1911 census was still living at the Orpines but is now described as a "Brewer and Director".
