CHORAL SOCIETY.—The Annual Meeting of the Society was held at the Church Rooms on October 9th. Mr. A. B. Baker taking the chair in the absence of the Vicar. Accounts showed a small balance in hand. The Vicar was re-elected President, and Mr. C. King, Hon. Sec. It was decided to start practice on the following Monday, but as there seemed some doubt as to the number of men likely to join, it was thought best not to start any big work at present, but to do part-songs, &c., for a time. More men, tenors and basses, especially tenors, are wanted, if the Society is to continue to flourish.—[E. A. S.]
