Extract from Kentish Weekly Post or Canterbury Journal - Friday 23 November 1821

The Rev. G. Moore, of Wrotham, has handsomely deducted 20 percent, (amounting to nearly £500) from his tithes, due at Michalmas last; and we are happy to find that this laudable example has recently been followed by the Hon. and Rev. F. Noel, who deducted 15 percent, from his Nettlested tithes. The Rev. Dr. Willis, Vicar of Wateringbury, at his late tithe day made, unsolicited, a deduction of 10 per cent, from his tithe composition.

This report was repeated in many other newspapers.
