Oddfellows’ Fete .

—The annual fete in connection with the Loyal Flower of Kent Independent Lodge of Oddfellows (Manchester Unity) was held as usual on Bank Holiday. At half-past ten o’clock the members, officers, and friends assembled at the Lodge House, the Queen’s Head Inn, and, headed by the Aylesford Brass Band, made the time-honoured visits to the residences of the prominent honorary members. Amongst the gentlemen and families so honoured were: General Schneider, Mr. A. Leney, Mr. R. Fremlin, Mr. Alderman Davies, Mr. Jude , the Rev. S. W. Phillips, Mr. W. W. Black, &c. The local friends who were similarly honoured were: Lady Login, Dr. Fry , Mr. Cruttenden , Mr. Tapply, &c.

A march was afterwards made to the fete ground, adjoining the cemetery, kindly lent for the purpose by Mr. E. B. Cook. An admirable and varied programme was arranged by the committee, who had enlisted the services of Mr. G.D. Stacey, of Oak-street, Woolwich, in providing the stage performances, which were witnessed by a large number of visitors.
