CRICKET MATCHES ON THE ICE

[Reports of various other cricket matches on ice]

A novel match was lately played on the ice covering the large pond in Mr. Fremlin's grounds at Wateringbury, between seven skaters and seven nonskaters, when the latter won. A large number of spectators assembled to witness the entertaining spectacle, among whom were many ladies. The players afterwards enjoyed a social evening together at the Duke's Head Inn, under the presidency of Mr. W. Whyman.
