WATERINGBURY. On Tuesday evening the vicar gave his annual supper to the youths of the evening school. The number present was 37, being all who had attended the Government examination. After supper Stevens presented each scholar with an illuminated text set in a glass frame. They then enjoyed themselves and gave three hearty cheers for the Princess Louise and the Marquis, the same for the Vicar and Mrs Stevens, who attended the school for 40 nights during ??? ; and the same for the master. Mr Chapman (?) displayed his magic lantern with an explanatory and instructive lecture, which appeared highly to gratify his audience.
