A Terrier2 of the Vicarage of the Parish of Wateringbury in the County of Kent made the

Anno Domini 187x

According to the best of our knowledge whose names are hereunto written & subscribed.

The Vicarage is now in the possession of Henry Stevens M. A. It has belonging to it one Dwelling House, Coachhouse , Stable, Laundry with Hayloft, Apple rooms, Small Stable, Wood & Cow Lodges & Dairy.

The whole of the above stands upon a piece of land which is mostly garden, containing by estimation two actress more or less abutting to the Turnpike Road North & East, & to the lands of Messrs. Jude &Co on the West and to the Glebe Land on the South.

Item-to the said Vicarage belongeth the pasturage of the Churchyard and all the tithe of Corn of Lillie Hoo containing by estimation four score acres more or less.

Item- to the same vicarage belongeth all the Tithes of Hay and Wood, Hops, Hemp and flax, Wood and Fruit together with all other petty Tithes arising in the said parish of Wateringbury whatsoever.

Item- to the said Vicarage belongeth a Part of Forge Field containing 5a. 2r.29p. made over in the Year 1845 by award of Tithe Commissioners as Glebe Land in exchange for 5a. 0r. 0p. part of Mill Field and Part of Wateringbury Place Park formerly belonging to the Dean and Chapter of Rochester. The remaining portion of Forge Field belongs to S.L.L. Lucas Esq and is by estimation two rods, thirty perches more or less. There are three Boundary stones marked V which wereput down in the presence of S.L.L. Lucas Esq and the Revd Henry Stevens in the autumn of 1846.

The Hedge on the West of the Vicarage Garden belongs to the Vicar –from the Brick wall down to the Stone marked Vicarage Hedge and he has to trim it and keep it in order.

There is a further page signed by Spencer Wm Phillips Vicar and dated 30 Jan 1882.

In 1879 the remainder of the Forge Field adjoining Mr. F?????’s Orchard & Mill Pond was purchased by Queen Anne’s Bounty from the Exec of the late Revd Hy Stevens & annexed to the Vicarage Glebe for ever. The purchase money viz £282 was part of an augmentation held by Queen Anne’s Bounty on behalf of the Vicarage of Wateringbury . In 1882 the balance of the Augmentation viz £22 8s. 6d. was with the sanction of the Bounty Commissioners expended on enclosing with a wooden fence the part of the land facing the ??? road & in otherwise providing sufficient fencing.
