One day, a ten years boy Daniel was walking home while he noticed two puppies locked inside of a parked car.

There was the scorching heat, around thirty-five degrees Celsius, and the two puppies seemed to suffer from suffocation and thirst.

Daniel took pity on the puppies and tried to open the car's door but without success.

There was a stone in the side of the road and Danial thought he could break the window and rescue the puppies.

He found himself between Scylla of the suffering puppies and Charybdis of an offence against law which was a difficult decision.

However he noticed that one of the car's windows was ajar and he had got a good idea.

He dashed to his house, found his big water gun and filled it up with tap water.

Then he rushed back to the car and started to pour water into the car through the ajar window.

The puppies soon understood that they could quench their thirst.

Daniel was giving to drink to the puppies during an hour when the police came and help him.

They broke the car's window and got the puppies free from the scorching jail.

Daniel did his best to rescue the puppies and he was very glad when he took them being alive and safe in his arms.

Questions:

1. Why do you think the car window was left open ajar?

I think that the owner of the car had understood that the puppies could suffer from suffocation and tried to provide fresh air access to them.

2. Do you think it's lawful to break a car's window?

I belive that if it can save someone's life as it was in the story, it's undoubtedly worth it.

In other case, it depends on the situation but you must be ready to compensate the owner of the car for the cost of the repair.

If you believe that the cost of the broken window is less than what you did it for, it would be reasonably.

3. How much does 92 degrees Fahrenheit equal in Celsius? ([°C] = ([°F] − 32) × 5⁄9 or [°F] = [°C] × 9⁄5 + 32)

It is 33,(3) degree Celsius.

DANIEL Ayala, ten years old, is walking down the street on a hot summer day. It is 92 degrees. Daniel passes a parked car. He hears dogs barking, and he looks inside the car. Two puppies are in the car. The puppies look hot and thirsty. Daniel is worried about the puppies. "Maybe the puppies will die," he thinks. Daniel tries to open the car doors, but they are locked. Daniel looks around. There are no people on the street. Nobody can help him. Daniel runs home and gets his squirt gun. It is a big squirt gun —a "Super Soaker." It holds a lot of water. Daniel fills his squirt gun with cool water. Then he runs back to the car. The car windows are open a little. Daniel squirts water at the puppies. He squirts water on their faces and into their mouths. For one hour, Daniel stands next to the car. Every five minutes, he squirts water at the puppies. Finally, help comes. A police officer breaks a car window and opens a door. Daniel picks up the puppies. They are OK — thanks to Daniel and his Super Soaker.
