Report on The North Bus Station
Introduction
The purpose of this report is to participate in the municipal council survey so that to outline the North Bus Station's pros and cons while to point out the issues that I have encountered and to suggest the ways to improve the current situation.
Pluses
The aforementioned bus station is located very conveniently for travelers. On the one hand, it is close to the Central Train Station while, on the other hand, it is in an immediate proximity to public transport stops. The station has plenty of announced routes to the northern part of the Ural area and, consequently, appears to be the main transport hub of the whole region. Thus, not only can people have a convenient way to travel from the other towns to Yekaterinburg and vice versa but also have an excellent opportunity to come on the bus and then to catch a train and go somewhere else without much efforts.
Minuses
However, the building needs some renovation since it is quite old and, frankly speaking, not to be eye-pleasing. What is more, even though it has all the necessary facilities, all of them are absolutely old-fashioned. Live queues and conductors are typical examples of what I would like to report.
Issues
The issue I have suffered from on night is that there is no hotels or other means of accommodation in the station building or by it. At that time, I had a really rough sleeping in an uncomfortable chair when my bus was delayed for 8 hours.
Suggestions
I would strongly advise redecorating the station. Besides the building's repair, I would suggest to construct and provide all the modern technological improvements connected with the transport and commuting. For example, online ticket selling, electronic queues, automatic pay-gates and so on. If the council manage to organise one-night hotels or guest houses near the object of this report at a reasonable per-night price, it will certainly be the most tremendous station's enhancement in my personal opinion.
