1. Exceptions for Conditional Sentences
So far you have only learned the basic rules for Conditional Sentences. It depends on the context, however, which tense to use. So sometimes it's possible for example that in an IF Clause Type I another tense than Simple Present is used, e.g. Present Progressive or Present Perfect.

...Еще один возможный вариант смешанных предложений – соотношение второго и первого типа условных предложений.
Данный тип образуется по следующей схеме:
Условие Результат
If + Past Simple / Past Continuous, will + bare infinitive
Например:
If she got back late last night, she won’t come to school today. – Если она пришла поздно вчера, она не придет в школу сегодня.
--- на мой взгляд дано запутывающее пояснение, это не второй тип условия, а первый тип в прошедшем времени (см. выше Open conditional constructions)
