You see this announcement on your college noticeboard:

Language students - let us improve what we do for you!

Unfortunately, we can't spend much money, but we'd like to improve what we provide for our language students. Submit proposals to us explaining what is useful about the current facilities we provide, describe any problems you have with them and make recommendations how we can improve them, giving reasons to support your ideas.

Write your proposal.

1. the missing link between reports and proposals

Firstly, responding to your invitation, I would like to say that your language courses are warmly welcomed by the students, including me. I believe that learning foreign languages is a crucial part of everyone's education and development, so, your project is a priceless work.

I have been taking part in the English class for six months. So, I would like to report that the programme includes various activities: grammar drills, speaking practice, reading and discussing books and etc. What is more, never had I had such competent, motivating and patient tutors as your ones. Therefore, I am sure that this course will surely stand me in good stead in the future.

As for negative aspects, I would like to mention that, in my opinion, there is some problem in home-task correction procedures on which participants spend too much time at the lessons. The other issue is to have some lack of writing activity in the schedule since I usually have only one such task a month.

I believe that, generally, the main part of learning grammar and reading should be done at home so as to have more opportunities to speak and converse at the lessons. Thus, I would like to suggest converting homework discussing process into a digital format so that the teachers could send their feedbacks on e-mail and provide some additional exercises focusing on the participant's mistakes. As an additional improvement, I would like to recommend altering the programme so that writing part could take its well-deserved position among the other shades of the English language learning. I deem that one such chore a week would be judicious and overdue.

I am looking forward to your positive decision about changing your language course's agenda according to my proposals. I am sure that it would make your course be well-balanced and, consequently, engage more participants to it.
