sharp vs. -ish

sharp adverb BrE /ʃɑːp/ ; NAmE /ʃɑːrp/

1. exactly - used after an expression for a time of day to mean ‘exactly’

Please be here at seven o'clock sharp.

2. left/right - (British English) sharp left/right turning suddenly to the left or right

3. music - (sharper, no superlative) above the correct pitch (= how high or low a note sounds)
