Jonathan Lee Iverson:

Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, I'm Jonathan Lee Iverson, Ringmaster of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey (Circus), The Greatest Show on Earth but I've got to keep it down at my own house. This is The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey train, the longest ... longest privately own train in the world, with the longest running hit show in the world.

This train is about sixty-one or sixty-six cars long. It's about, erm, mayby a mile, mile and a half one. It's my house.

This is my living room quarters here, and these are the pictures of my beautiful family. That's the wife here, Priscilla. She's all the way from Brazil. That's our son Mathew. That's Liela.

You know, that life like, honesly, it's pompous sometimes, it's really smooth sometimes, erm, erm, you know, fortunately there we no need real needs.

Erm, it's ... over all, it's really an adventure.

We're performing four .. and fifty shows a year, average at eleven shows a week and, erm, that is so much better than having to go to a hotel.

I think the hardest part about living on a train is, erm, you know, every now and then, it's a bit .. you .. full .. like a very very long ride, you know, we were like on, you know, we're travelling somewhere for about... maybe three days, it's takes us three days .. kids there.

You... you kind of...I mean, I feel like a guy in The Shining here .. like a-a-a-a!

For the kids there is wounderful, I mean, ... usual and special long way ... looking outside the window and there be only .. west ..

They, you know, just watch America go by.

The Ringling Brothers men are domesticated men too. I'm actually making my children's dinner.

Life for, er, Ringling Brothers kid, it's like... I mean, it's like a dream childhood. To them, you know, the spectacular dashing way of life, I mean, you have a built-in zoo, you know, they're very busy children. My six-year-old sun takes acrobatics, he takes judo, he takes piano, he takes ... and he takes those with professional in-doors craft.

I came on Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey about twenty-two years old and, erm, I'm thirty-five. There is nothing like The Greatest Show on Earth. .. ..in your blood, I mean, you're hooked for life. There is no recovery scenario for this stuff. You just have to stay in it and really enjoy it for all this work
