We're traveling down Abbeyhill road and on the left in sight you can see the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Next door to the Palace you can see an Abbey. This was built in 1128 by King David of Scotland and it was built as a p.. because he went for hunting on a Sunday which was not allowed in Scotland at this time.

Er, we're going to turn right, down Cannongate and High Street and Lawnmarket.

All these ri... together are called the Royal Mile which is the distance supposetely between the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Edinburgh Castle.

On your right hand sight just coming up is the house of John Knox, a man who was a col.. preacher and he was the man who I'm going to talk about later on our journey when we'll reach St.Giles Church.

The house he lived is now a museum.

On the left is St Giles' Cathedral which John Knox actually preached and this was built in 14 and 15 century and it was renovated in 16 century.

Next to St Giles' Cathedral is the Heart of Midlothian. It's a heart-shaped design in the pavement and this is were the old Tolbooth prison gate was.

When we are going up towards Edinburgh Castle.

This dates mainly from 11 century when . .. Chappel is.

That's the oldest part of Edinburgh Castle and in fact the oldest building in Edinburgh.

The rest of it was destroyed by Robert the Bruce and now I think we can get out of our couch and have a look at Edinburgh Castle.

Now all these three roads together are called the Royal Mile which is the distance supposedly between the Palace of Holyrood House and Edinburgh Castle.

On your right-hand side, just coming up, is the house of John Knox - a man who was a Calvinist preacher and he was the man who I'm going to talk about later on our journey when we'll reach St.Giles's Church.

And on the left is St Giles's Cathedral which John Knox actually preached. Now this was built in fourteenth and fifteenth century and was renovated in sixteenth century.
