Do you think it is important to give money to charity?

I think that giving money to charity can take place only by two reasons: either someone want to promote oneself or someone has a mental problem and feels ashamed about some actions or thoughts that one has had.

If somebody wants to attract attention to oneself or the company, that can be called a public relations’ action.

I can understand it because it is an example of doing something for oneself and, at the same time, helping someone.

It is honest and agreeable because it isn't taking place at the expense of another.

But it a person gives money to charity because of a shame or a guilt that is a sign of a neurosis.

In this case, this action only temporary weakens the psychic problem but simultaneously increase the neurosis.

The person should examine the causes of a desire to give money to beggars but actually not helping people at all.

This can be done only with the help of psychoanalysis.

What types of fund-raising events do you think are most successful?

I think that a fund-raising event will be more successful if the organizer does the following steps:

Firstly, the money is collected only for one particular recipient. For example for a person, an orphanage or a hospital.

Secondly, the charity organisation should have an excellent reputation.

Finally, the accounting will be understandable, clear and honest.

To sum up I would like to say that a fund-raising will be successful only if people trust the charity organisation.
