R: His umbrella turn inside out by the wind and rain but a smile never leave Jon Bon Jovi's face.

It is an exiting day for him and his wife Dorothea.

Their foundation is openning the Jon Bon Jovi's Soul Kitchen.

JBJ: This is a place based and built on community

R: They are no prices on the menu.

The idea, he says, is simple: if you can pay, great, leave a donation, if you can't, volunteer in the kitchen.

Somewhere else in the community in get a gift certificate to the restorant.

JBJ: At twelve years old, it is empowered because they are common to working in the garden and then take that gift certificate on that maybe the meal to the family gets a grand celebration

R: Bon Jovi and his wife rent two pallets programs in Red Bank to assist the community's needs and its response

Two years later they renovated this former auto body shop and built the community kitchen.

Helping prepare the food Anthony Servico

AS: I'm a firm believer that you could do good things for others and they do good things for you

R: Anthony is a perfect example.

He was out of work donating his time at a soup kitchen.

Bon Jovi and his wife came .. they ..

Now Anthony is employed full time.

And Bon Jovi didn't just drop the money for this "pay for and leave" that somebody else would run it

He actually runs it and works in the kitchen

AS: He comes in for five or six hours ... and scrub burn parts of pans ...

R: The menu is healthy and nutritious.

Some ingredients grown here in the garden, others donated by local ... foods, everything from Garden State Gumbo to pork chops and home made carrot cakes.

And if he has his way there will be Soul Kitchens all over the country, even the world

JBJ: There is a great need for them both urban and suburban environments.

I've already have offers to increase our footprint

R: But just like the megastore career he builds, Bon Jovi says that he gonna take it by one step at a time
