Each set of lyrics in this section of the website, for Years A, B and C of the Revised Common Lectionary, 2017 to 2019, relate to the gospel reading for the particular Sunday. On some occasions the lyrics are based on specific verses within the reading and not the whole reading. This is identified on the web page. On rare occasions I have not used the recommended reading at, usually because of difficulties I have with that reading.

Some lyrics presented are 'General' ones, some of which are repeated for each year of the lectionary. These are not specifically based on any gospel reading but are offered as maybe useful for the particular time of the Christian year. These are listed as, for example, 'General Christmas'. Repetition of the same lyrics also occurs with some other readings.

Sometimes I have made available a choice of lyrics which are based on the same gospel reading. Obviously you may use both sets of lyrics in these cases, if you wish. The choice, as always, is yours.
