Not observing Sabbath Days;

He was for the poor and outcasts;

Those mistreated, like the Gays.

Hear from Jesus and his teachings;

Listen to his gracious speech,

Giving comfort, consolation;

Using words that would enrich;

Know his message was inclusive;

There were none beyond his reach.

Hear from Jesus and his teachings;

Mark his quiet affirming tone,

Telling us of grace and comfort

When we feel we are alone;

Jesus’ words are re-assuring;

Claiming us to be his own.
