God's kingdom is within us
God’s reign is here to see;
God’s kingdom lies within us,
Just like in Galilee;
When love is shared among us,
Is given full and free,
Then God’s own light shines through us
In all its majesty.
With God so deep within us
Our lives can then withstand
The pain and grief that grips us,
The evil close at hand;
When God’s own spirit leads us
Then we will understand
That God’s own light shines through us,
And in that light we stand.
When Jesus lived among us
He pointed to the way;
The challenge that he gave us
Was how to live each day;
When love is that which guides us,
When love is on display
Then God’s own light shines through us;
So let it be today.
