The sounds of life (Vol 2 No 72)
The sounds of life (Vol 2 No 72)
There’s sacredness in sounds of life,
Sounds that communicate;
When nature’s voice recites her tale,
When humans celebrate.
Attend to all the sounds of life
Both silent and those heard;
Some laughter or a silent cry,
Both shout and whispered word.
The sounds of life express our pain,
Anxiety, relief;
They play the song of future hopes,
But some reveal our grief.
Rejoicing sounds invite a smile;
Change darkness into light;
These sounds remind us that the day
Will always conquer night.
The sounds of life are holy sounds,
The spirit’s melody;
When we respond in gentle tones
We join the rhapsody.
