Statement 20 (Vol 4 No 41)
We assert that the visible experiential and secular world is part of a spiritual world which, though defying adequate description, is expressed in the human search for a better humanity, a more compassionate human being, a new being, always looking towards preserving the planet and at the same time searching for a new creation in which the best and highest values are manifest. There is a vital search for a harmonious relationship between the everyday human experience and a higher (or deeper) spiritual awareness.

In our human search for meaning
For our true humanity,
We look for increased compassion
To be offered graciously;
We search for a new creation,
For new life in harmony,
For new being manifesting
All our values’ quality.
In our search we are expressing
Our own spirit’s energy;
Our rich bond with growth of spirit
Gives our life vitality;
All the secular and common
Partner in the mystery;
Though defying our descriptions
Spirits sing life’s liturgy.
So we search for real connection
Of that which is ‘everyday’
To awareness of the spirit
Permeating all our way;
Such connection gives life meaning,
How we live and what we say;
When we make this rich connection
Then our love is on display.
