Love is a mystery; - not to solve;

Yet we receive it’s power;

Love gives us life; love brings us hope; 

Sustains us every hour.

Love makes a wholesome purpose clear;

Love tells us we belong;

Love welcomes us; enlivens us;

Still loves us when we’re wrong.

Love gives us reason to hold on

When all is pain and strife,

When tragedy or failure rule

Love calls us back to life.

When we receive the strength of love

We then begin to see

That with love’s zeal we can believe

We are what we can be.

Yet when love lifts me shoulder high

And holds me there, I’m free

To answer calls to venture forth -

Be more than I can be.
