Resurrection - Life from death (Vol 1 No 46)

In nature we knowThe darkness and light,The joy and the woe,The gloom and the bright,The interdependence of death and of life,The contrast, yet blending, of pleasure and strife. When flowers are crushedTheir fragrance abound;Their colour is hushed,But perfumes surround.Surrender in dying, like seeds underground,New life born from dying.  The process - profound! Grapes, when they are pressedGive birth to new wine; Then poured for a guestOr ritual sign;Refreshing or helping recall the Divine,They give up their life to fulfil their design. When facing the cross,Christ suffered the pain;Absorbing the loss; They fought Him in vain.Through darkness and hell He proved love will remain. The victory is won by the One who was slain. Love cannot decay. On Calvary’s hillIts wonder holds sway; Its beauty can thrill.Christ Jesus, whom, hatred keeps trying to kill,Proves love can’t stay buried!  It lives in us still.
