In life we meet the times that please

But also times of dread;

We know they can bring joy and peace;

But also gloom can spread.

God is the one who suffers much

When we are torn apart;

When grief and tragedy close in

And break our grieving heart.

Sometimes our tears are all we have

To share with those in pain;

But these are precious gifts to give

When we can’t ease the strain.

In tears we share with those who cry

God’s love is on display;

A calming word, supporting hug

Reflect the Jesus’ way.

God is within and also there

When we begin to rise;

God is our strength to start again;

God gently wipes our eyes.
