God made flesh (Vol 3 No 27)
We look for Christ to give us hope;
We want a Christ to lead,
For someone who will satisfy
Our desperate human need.
To see the ‘incarnated’ one,
To know we’re truly blest,
Some say we need a ‘God made flesh’
Who’s different from the rest.
But ‘God made flesh’ is known in love,
In simple acts of grace;
When others show they really care
We feel God’s warm embrace.
Today if we would see the Christ
We need not look above;
The ‘incarnated’ one is here
Each time we live in love.
