Feed my sheep (Vol 3 No 75)
Feed my sheep (Vol 3 No 75)
We hear, today, the voice of Christ
Calling once more, “Care for my sheep.”
His call is heard in suff’ring cries
From those in pain and those who weep.
“Give hope where hope is hard to find
Midst grief and loss when life is unfair;
Give hope when stormy clouds roll in;
Don’t let my sheep die of despair.”
“When violence and corruption rule
Stand with the victims of such wrong;
Strive to protect my sheep from those
Who will not sing the justice song.”
“Wealth and prestige both promise much,
But can’t deliver. They are cheap!
Good health of mind and peace of soul
Is what I want for all my sheep.”
“As shepherds of my countless sheep,
Live with compassion, hope and grace;
Remember that my sheep are those
Of every culture, every race.”
