God Within stirs us (Vol 1 No 70)

We sing, we praise, we celebrate,

We worship and we contemplate

Our Source of life, our sacred core;

The God within, whom we adore.

O let the light of Christ shine bright;

With strength and zeal, work for the right;

Spread love and grace both near and far.*

Our noble city by the lake*

A place where joy and hope are shown,

Where love is taught and peace is known.

Our God within stirs thoughts and deeds

Of building bridges, sowing seeds,     

Of stirring faith and marching bold,

Of  warming those who might be cold.

Our God within is prompting still

To live our life to do God’s will.

The voice within we can’t subdue,

We hear Christ’s call. We pledge anew.
