We search for faith to give insight
To people of our day;
It’s not the same as taught to those
First converts to ‘The Way’.
Two thousand years have come and gone;
Our knowledge has increased;
No longer is our only guide
A Father or a Priest.
Our new enlightenment gives rise
To different ways to think;
Technology has now replaced
The use of pen and ink.
A reformation is at hand
To challenge ancient creeds;
But with no death for heresy
Who knows where this all leads?
As we pursue all modern truths
Truths we should not forget,
We may ask God, but certainly
