God shares our pain (Vol 2 No 62)

When pain kills joy where can we turn?

Is it some punishment we earn?

Where is our God of love and care?

Life is so harsh.  It seems unfair!

God is our partner in the strain;

God is within and shares our pain;

When we’re alone, engulfed in fear,

God whispers gently, “I am here.”

Smothered with sadness in our grief;

Can we find God to bring relief?

Can we get strength to face the day?

When we are lost, “Who shows the way?”

God knows our burning agony;

God suffers in our  tragedy;

God breathes our words of deep despair;

God is within becomes our prayer.
