Seeking (Vol 3 No 69)

As we contemplate our mission,

As we look beyond today,

As we try to live our vision,

Follow Jesus in his way –

Sometimes he was strong, assertive,

Always merciful and kind;

He was gen’rous and inclusive

He has shown us ‘Love Defined’.

When we follow Jesus’ leading,

As we live his life once more,

We can hear his words of healing;

We can see his touch restore;

With compassion and with caring

We can bring God’s love to view;

By our comfort, burden sharing

We assist in healing too.

When we strive to nurture freedom,

Freedom from abuse and fear,

We may find we are not welcome;

Batt’ling evil is severe.

Jesus was a God revealer;

Join his freeing work of care;

Justice needs a bold presenter,

Follow Jesus if we dare.

Strong compassion is life giving;

Life abundant is God’s will;

We enhance life of the living

As we serve with grace and skill.

Jesus’ life, we seek to follow –

Giving fully, giving free;

Share God’s work today, tomorrow;

Show what love can do and be
