The journey of the life we live,

For each, it is unique;

It does not always leave us with

The path that we would seek.

The journey we must undertake

Involves both joy and pain;

It fashions pleasure, tragedy

In sunshine and in rain.

Yet gracious is this gen’rous gift –

The journey that we take;

God is immersed in forging on,

And every stop we make.

This journey teaches us to care,

To love and to forgive;

To share the grief, to bring relief;

To help each other live.

This journey is too short to spoil,

So live in harmony;

The choice is here for us to take

To live life lovingly.

At every stage, at every turn

God is the zest within;

God is in front, behind, beside,

Each day when we begin.
