Don't think we must too (Vol 2 No 101)

When others act up badly,

And don’t care what they do;

If others kick out madly,

Don’t think that we must too.

When others have a punch up,

Or say what is untrue,

Or always being stuck-up,

Don’t think that we must too.

When others do not play fair,

Or hassle like some do;

When others show they don’t care,

Don’t think that we must too.

When others keep complaining,

Or try to jump the queue,

Abuse without restraining,

Don’t think that we must too.

Some others think they act cool

When throwing dirt at you,

When others plan to cut school,

Don’t think that we must too.

We do not have to follow

What other people do;

Don’t act like any hobo;

We’ll choose what we will do!

For Jesus was like someone

Who loved a barbecue;

He had a blast, some good fun;

I’m sure that we can too.

He was a very good guy;

He taught a thing or two;

For this young Jewish Rabbi

Showed us what we can do.
