God -The life force (Vol 2 No 40)
Speeding with the stallion, swarming with the bees,
Standing firm with mountains, wafting with the breeze,
Placid with koalas; raging with the bull;
Movement in creation; life is wonderful;
God is ever present, here for us to see.
Sacred is the life-force – Vibrant mystery!
Resting with the lions as they sleep and dream,
Struggling with the salmon as they swim up stream,
Twisting with the earthworms, living underground,
Watching every movement, list’ning to each sound.
God is ever present, here for us to see
Sacred is the life-force – Vibrant mystery!
Growing with the bushes, thriving with each tree,
Soaring with the eagles, happy to be free,
Raining in the down-pour, floating with each cloud,
We, in awe and wonder, need to sing aloud.
God is ever present, here for us to see;
Sacred is the life-force – Vibrant mystery!
With such thrilling beauty can we turn away
When we see destruction almost every day?
Can we ravage nature with its fragile charm
Just for human comfort? Should we do such harm?
God, the throbbing life-force, suffers in each ‘kill’;
We can stop this violence? Do we have the will?
