We have the Jesus’ story,
Unique in every way;
The Gospels tell this story;
It speaks to us today.
Beliefs of early Christians
Can guide beliefs for me;
They all remembered Jesus,
The man from Galilee.
Yes! Jesus was their master
They claimed him as their Lord.
They saw in him God’s presence;
God’s love, in him, outpoured.
They taught he was Messiah,
The promised one of old,
The gospels are their faith tales;
Faith stories that they told.
Yes! Jesus was their master

Two thousand years still echo
With Jesus and his life;
He calls us now to follow
To conquer in the strife.
Yes, we can call him master,
A life to be adored;
We see in him God’s presence;
We see God’s love outpoured.
His grace is ever with us;
Our hope is not in vain;
His life points to the beauty
Of love that will sustain.
