The Light of day (Vol 3 No 21)
The Light of day (Vol 3 No 21)
The morning light speeds on its way
To shine in every place;
It seeks to gladden every heart;
Bring smiles to every face.
As light steals into every space
The dark is chased away;
This light brings colour into view;
And nature starts to play.
The night and day are partners of
The cycle we know well;
Like birth and death, they both embrace
The mystery where we dwell.
On Friday we could hear the pain,
The cries of tragedy;
But resurrection fashions light
That bursts with energy.
As light, that always conquers dark,
Comes faithfully each day,
We constantly will praise with joy
The resurrection way.
