Jesus of Nazareth gave profound teachings and told many penetrating stories as ways to persuade people to follow his pointing finger, as he pointed to a better community, a new being – what he called ‘the Kingdom’.

From Nazareth he travelled;
He walked the countryside;
When Jesus told his stories
He gave them as a guide,
Persuading all the people
To follow in the way
To where his finger pointed
By what he had to say.
His penetrating stories
And teachings were profound;
His finger pointed forward
To where love could abound;
He pointed to ‘new being’,
Enhanced community,
To what he called – ‘the Kingdom’,
His dreamt reality.
